2. Film I recommend

A movie I would recommend to be shown in this film class would be Walk The Line. Made in 2005, directed by James Mangold. It is about Johnny Cash's eventful life. Joaquin Pheonix does a fantasic job as the role of Johnny Cash. It portrays love, music, and drugs. Johnny Cash marries Vivian Liberto after being in the air force where he wrote one of his famous songs Folsom Prison Blues. Johnny started off their relationship living in poverty, he was a door to door salesman that did not do well. One day while out he walks by a recording studio and it gives him inspiration to start up a band, which is the start to his future. He gets his band together and auditions at Sun Records, they make a record and start touring in 1955. While watching this scene you can feel for Johnny, how desperately passionate he is to get a record made. While on tour he gets offered his first drug that leads to an addiction later on. He was doing great on tour, but his family was falling apart and June was there for him. June soon became his love.
This movie basically then tells about how he gets into drugs bad and June helps him recover. Johnny would always bug June by asking her to marry him. While performing one night Johnny stops singing and purposes to June and she finally says yes. That is the one part that made me cry it was so cute, the music adds to the emotions. From then on they make music together and have a family. It is such a great movie I love the story of how they sing together then fall in love and are there for each other through everything.
