Rushmore

A fifteen year old boy who is in every club possible is wiser than his years. Though he is failing all his main courses at the school, and is soon expelled from the Rushmore private school. I dont know the reason for him being in all these extra clubs but maybe he just succeds better at those type of things than real subjects like math and english.Rushmore Rushmore Rushmore. What can I say. The boy acts so old he is always up to something. He is head over heels for one of the teachers, that has denied him so many times. The guy he works with I forget his name, but he hires him to work at his job they freak out on each other and start doing crazy stuff to each other. I didn't really like this movie, it did not make since to me at all. 

The teenager is named Max Fisher, his friend the rich industrialist is Herman Blume, they both are madly in love with the elementary school teacher Rosemary Cross. Max's life revolves around Rushmore Academy, he got into Rushmore by a scholarship for making a play. Max spends nearly all of his time on extracurricular activities, caring little how it affects his grades. The other partner Blume does not think his multimillion dollar company to be satisfying. Blume also has two son's that are in Rushmore but they are brats. Max and Blume become close friends, max likes Blume's success, and Blume is impressed by Max's independent, cocky attitude. The actors are great at their roles. I think Max is played great as a very intellegent young man that has his life together but is so in love with a older woman and tries to always impress her. 

The movie is good to see with the family. I dont know if i enjoyed it that much, but i did like Max's character he is well scripted.

11. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

The movie starts off with Hurricane Katrina coming and Daisy Williams on her death bead. She tells her daughter Caroline to read a diary. The diary is the whole movie. It explains Benjamin Buttons extrodinary life. Benjamin was born with aging diseases at birth, and survives it and is given a chance at an amazing life to experience. A movie displaying something you would never think to happen in a life time. Someone born old and growing younger till birth age! Did that catch your attention enough to want to see it? If fantasy movies are your thing, and you just want to sit back and relax on the couch and watch a charasmatic movie then this is perfect for you! Imagine being born old and grow younger and younger as time goes by. I think it would be crazy but cool at the same time. The way they play out the movie is excellent.  

The highlights of the movie are when Benjamin goes out with a close friend and has his first drinks and comes home drunk and throws up. He then thinks he is old enough to be on his own and goes to sea with Captain Mike, which was into art and had many tattoos. They go through so many adventures while at sea and even endure the War. You feel for Benjamin because he is so old you think he is going to get hurt, but it doesn't happen ever he just gets younger and younger and has a great life. The child friend he always had a crush Daisy Williams see's his young face and is in amazement. After spending a night together and Benjamin denys her they part for a while. After years they meet again and fall in love and have a child. Benjamin leaves her because he doesn't want her having to raise to children eventually. Benjamin goes to India and lives his life as much as possible. He comes back to Daisy's studio one night and see's her and his daughter and her new husband. Thinking he came for no reason Daisy goes and see's him for one last time. The movie is such a great story its nothing I have seen before because of the setting of how Benjamin is going old to young. It is a great movie to see with the family.I give it a great rating and think everyone should see it. 

9. Stand By Me

Stand by Me is a coming of age film set in the fictional Castle Rock, Oregon in 1959.The cutest movie, four young boys set out for a mission to see a dead body. The boys do a great job at acting for their age. They experience many hardships along the way that make each other closer. Gordie is the intelligent one who is going to have a bright future and his best friend Chris doesn't want him going down with him. Chris plays as a strong free willed boy that hides his pain by acting tough. Vern is a pudgy cute kid that always acts like he doesnt know what he is getting himself into. Teddy is a loyal and funny boy that wants to die or cheat death. They each have problems at home. 

"For some, it's the last real taste of innocence, and the first real taste of life. But for everyone, it's the time that memories are made of."  The film is a mix of peer pressure, coming to their fears, and boys showing affection. 

Raiders Of the Lost Ark

Raiders Of the Lost Ark is a action- adventure film directed by Steven Spielburg. Indiana Jones the main character is a very determined smart man that plays the "hero" or one who always makes his way back and succeeds. The film was about trying to retrieve the lost ark. Everytime Jones would get what he wanted this other guy would take it and say "Once yours is now mine." It is a crazy when they get locked in with the snakes and have to figure out a way out. Of course brains Jones gets them out. The thrill gets you so into the movie, it gets all your attention quickly. Indy is a hero to many people. He portays a lot of great characteristics that make many young teens want to be just like him. Harrison Ford has charm, and individual style. He is appealing to both men and women. Men because he displays how every man problebly wants to be like, and women because he is sexy and brave. The Indy films have been entertaining with their high spirits and good humor. The action-adventure that this flick gives establishes a champion of thrillers, and that  is not easy to establish. The movie is never tiring, it is always up pace and thrill seeking.
